Gerrit is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in the financial and cryptocurrency sectors. He was a founding member of TORA, Asia's first broker-neutral Order Execution Management System (OEMS) platform, and served as the Managing Director of TORA Japan. Gerrit spent fifteen years in Japan and Hong Kong helping to grow Tora until it was successfully acquired by the London Stock Exchange Group. Additionally, Gerrit co-founded and acted as CTO of Caspian, TORA's crypto subsidiary. His career also includes serving as CTO and Development Director for a prominent Asia-focused hedge fund, managing the technology team for Lehman Brothers' Japanese proprietary equity trading desk, and working as an OS Developer at Microsoft. Gerrit holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Stanford University and a professional certificate from Stanford's Artificial Intelligence Program.
